Interesting answers from a variety of people. To answer the original question: I never did stop serving GOD. Most people seem to have fallen into that trap of the need for the Borg-Org.----even AFTER they have left. Many go onto other religions and some give up on the belief of the Almighty GOD altogether. Freedom of choice is what seperates us from blind obedience. We think and we act on our educated and factual thoughts...............and that is what really bothers the rank and file JWs.....

Where does all the money go?
by FaithfulDoubter inok, so, i heard recently that the wtb&ts takes in over a billion dollars in the us alone.
that's a lot of cash.
it seems to me, from my limited vantage point, that the society is indeed doing the things it says it's doing with the money - support co's and do's, building kingdom halls, and so on.

Since when does the WTB&TS have to account for anything, let alone the MONEY?

Keep doing this in remembrance of me
by totalee inwhy is it ok to celebrate a wedding anniversary but not a birthday?
i can understand christmas, easter, halloween and valentines day but birthdays, thanksgiving, mother's day and father's day don't have religious or murderous origins.
also, at the last supper, jesus told his disciples to "keep doing this in remembrance of me".

WBTS does spend money scripturally.
by hamsterbait inlook at the dec 05 km insert.
it quotes 2 kings 12.. look at verses 10 and 11.. "as soon as they saw there was a great deal of money in the chest, the secretary of the king and the high priest would come up and they would .. count the money that was being found.
and they gave the money that had been counted to those .. that were appointed to the house of jehovah.".

What are WT's most abusive features?

if you were granted a wish to change wt's worst features, what would you want changed?

In answer to the original post: Hope the computer works right this time!!
Can anybody prove me wrong?
The worst part about all JWs is how they enjoy and rejoice in the abandonment of their so called fellow brothers and sisters. The only real love from WTB&TS is their own "love of self" and being a good Nazi.
I would like the Governing Body to show their credentials. In other words, I need positive PROOF that what is said, IS from and OF the almighty GOD. -

.........is it confused, strange, questionable or just odd?OR could it be, WHY did this "church" belong to the United Nations for over TEN years and lie about the union?
OR could it be WHY is it so easy for the Witnesses to turn on each other as they often do when directed by an elder or other authoritarian? ........ So much for "friends," huh?
Shall I continue? Ok, so this post is a little bit deeper than it should be, my bad!

Disturbing Information Passed on in Annual Elders Meeting?
by Dune inas you all may know, the elders around america have had (or will have) their annual meetings.
you know, the ones where they are trained and brought up to date about the whole scheme of things.. anyway, an elder who i happen to be close to was telling me yesterday that some troubling/disturbing things has been going down in congregations worldwide.
he also mentioned that it will be mentioned in watchtowers and km's in the next few months.. anyone know what he may be talking about?

Disturbing Information Passed on in Annual Elders Meeting? The information should be about the lack of true love and the obvious hypocrisy among the leadership including the local elders and the everyday non-thinking convoluted JW.

Hardened Heart
by I-CH-TH-U-S inwhat does it mean when god "hardened pharoah's heart"?
i know part of this is to teach the egyptians that he has control over them and stuff (ie using plagues that were representatives of their gods).
i also think about it and say to myself that if he is doing that to the egyptians he is "torturing" them, i once had a jw tell me that god doesnt torture people.

Concerning the original post: God took away Pharaoh's feelings of compassion, or sympathy.
